    About the role#

    As a System Test Engineer Co-Op, you will help ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of our wearable cardiac monitoring devices. You will work across wearable hardware, embedded software, applications, and infrastructure. This role involves learning how system requirements translate into test cases and how engineers verify device behavior under normal and failure conditions. You will work with teammates across different disciplines to document evidence and verify fixes before product release.

    What you'll do#

    • Write test cases based on system requirements to check feature functionality and potential failure conditions.
    • Confirm that internal software tools used for development and testing operate correctly.
    • Record and share test results through reports or Jira tickets.
    • Investigate technical problems, attempt to reproduce reported issues, and test potential fixes.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
    • Hands-on experience with electrical equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and DMMs.
    • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and work both independently and within a team.
    • Prior experience in medical devices or a regulated industry is preferred.
    • Familiarity with software development processes and scripting or programming skills like Python or SQL are preferred.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, six-month co-op assignment running from January through June 2027.
    • The role is based on-site in San Francisco, California.
    • This position is paid at $35.00 per hour.
