About the role#
Join the Product Development team at the front end of innovation. You will support early-stage research and scientific feasibility efforts for wearable biosensing solutions. You will be treated as a full member of the engineering team, contributing to critical projects and taking accountability for your deliverables. This role involves working through ambiguity and communicating technical findings within a regulated medical device environment.
What you'll do#
- Support early-stage research and evaluate new technologies for wearable sensing.
- Conduct user studies to collect sensor data from human subjects.
- Develop and execute test protocols to characterize prototypes.
- Apply signal processing and analysis techniques to data sets.
- Engage in rapid prototyping, including using evaluation kits and creating 3D models.
- Operate lab equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to prototype electromechanical hardware platforms and fixtures.
- Contribute to the generation of intellectual property.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a PhD or Master’s degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, or a similar engineering discipline.
- Familiarity with physiological parameters and sensing, such as ECG or pulse oximetry.
- Practical experience with hypothesis-driven experimental design.
- A strong foundation in math, physics, and basic statistical principles.
- Detail-oriented habits, specifically regarding maintaining a lab notebook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
