About the role#
As an R&D Engineering Intern, you will work on the design and development of medical devices within our Interventional Oncology and Embolization group. You will gain experience in a professional environment while contributing to projects that impact patient care.
What you'll do#
- Perform engineering tasks and grow your skills through mentorship and hands-on training.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and expand your professional network.
- Design, fabricate, and prototype new device concepts based on clinical feedback.
- Develop test methods for in vitro device evaluation.
- Assist product development teams with device testing.
- Research clinical and market data to identify new opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Graduate degree in Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Ability to commit to one of two program periods: May 17th to August 6th or May 24th to August 13th.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
- Experience with medical device design, test method development, or single-use devices and implants.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship located in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
- The role is on-site, requiring you to be in the office at least 5 days per week.
- You must have reliable transportation to and from the office location.
- This position is designated as safety-sensitive and requires a prohibited substance test.
