About the role#
GE Aerospace is hiring a Manufacturing / Supply Chain Co-op for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in West Chester, Ohio, supporting the industrialization and continuous improvement of additive printer assembly. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Support manufacturing processes for additive printer assembly, including the design of assembly fixtures and tooling.
- Learn manufacturing methods, such as routers, work instructions, and in-process inspection points.
- Maintain quality standards through risk assessment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and closure of Design for Manufacturing findings.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to improve productivity, process capability, and material handling strategies.
- Ensure safe work conditions by following Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives for fixtures, tooling, and material handling.
- Track Key Performance Indicators to monitor performance and drive necessary actions.
- Work with suppliers to support the delivery of sourced components.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Material Sciences, or a related STEM field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to prove U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).
- Working knowledge of additive manufacturing technologies.
- Experience with CAD tools like NX or SolidWorks.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or Spotfire for data analysis and visualization.
- Interest in hands-on work with machines, sensors, and instrumentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
