    About the role#

    This internship is part of the Military DoD SkillBridge program. It is designed for active-duty service members in their final 180 days of service. You will gain civilian work experience while continuing to receive your military compensation and benefits. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity at our Pittsburgh test facility.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform engine testing, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting based on Standard Work and Repair Station Manuals.
    • Use technical references like Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and Engine Illustrated Parts Catalogs to guide your work.
    • Partner with teams in engineering, quality, planning, and materials to support site operations.
    • Document all work and track time using the site ERP software.
    • Maintain the shop and perform housekeeping duties as part of 5S and Total Proactive Maintenance initiatives.

    What you'll need#

    • Current active military status within your last 180 days of service.
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • At least 1 year of mechanical experience.
    • Federal Aviation Administration Powerplant Mechanic certification.
    • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Ability to travel internationally for extended periods for training.
    • Status as a U.S. Person as defined by export control regulations.
