About the role#
Join our Interventional Cardiology and Vascular Therapies team. We create technologies to diagnose and treat peripheral vascular disease. As an R&D Engineering Intern, you will work on the design, development, and integration of these medical devices. You will gain exposure to the full product development cycle while working alongside cross-functional teams.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and development of medical devices, including feasibility studies, prototyping, and testing.
- Support investigations into failure modes, perform root cause analyses, and develop solutions for technical challenges.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant regulatory requirements and standards.
- Collaborate with project management, process development, quality, marketing, manufacturing, and regulatory affairs teams.
- Prepare and review engineering documentation like technical reports and design history files.
- Present project updates and technical insights to engineers and managers.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelors or graduate degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Ability to commit to one of two program periods: May 17th - August 6th OR May 24th - August 13th.
- Experience collaborating on an engineering project in school or a professional environment.
- Excellent problem solving, communication, and time management skills.
- Biomedical or anatomy aptitude.
- Basic understanding of design controls and risk management in the medical device industry.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
