About the role#
The Cardiac Diagnostics team develops mobile health solutions and remote monitoring services for patients with cardiac arrhythmias. This internship focuses on data-driven analysis and signal processing to improve health outcomes and reduce costs. You will contribute to the development of wearable technologies, including the PatientCare Platform and BodyGuardian family.
What you'll do#
- Apply data science, machine learning, and data mining techniques to real-world clinical data.
- Research and assess technologies for analyzing biological signals and modeling complex systems.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and create visualizations from multivariate clinical data sets.
- Work with software engineers and other data scientists to test and validate algorithms.
- Stay current with technical developments and participate in team discussions and reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for data science, computer science, mathematics, physics, or engineering (computer, electrical, or biomedical).
- Graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Proficiency in Python, data structures, algorithms, and statistical analysis.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Preferred experience includes biological signal processing, SQL, cloud computing, and deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow.
Location & details#
- Location: Arden Hills, Minnesota.
- Modality: On-site, requiring at least four days per week in the office.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Commitment: Must be available for one of two program periods: May 17th - August 6th or May 24th - August 13th.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to the Arden Hills corporate location is required.
