About the role#
The Interventional Oncology and Embolization team at Boston Scientific develops therapeutics and tools for interventional radiologists, including ablation and embolic devices. We are seeking an R&D Engineering intern to join the TheraSphere Y90 team. You will contribute to current commercial product initiatives and support new product development. This role involves tackling production puzzles and exploring new technology applications.
What you'll do#
- Design, fabricate, and prototype new device concepts based on clinical feedback.
- Assist development teams with device testing and analysis.
- Research clinical and market data to identify new opportunities.
- Perform engineering tasks to solve production challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in mentorship and training programs.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Expected graduation between Fall 2027 and Spring 2029.
- Ability to work full-time during one of two program periods: May 17 to August 6 or May 24 to August 13.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Strong communication skills for working within diverse teams.
- Reliable transportation to the Maple Grove location.
