About the role#
As a Process Development Intern, you will work with cross-functional teams to build manufacturing processes for medical devices. You will partner with R&D and Operations to move designs from the initial concept to the final product. This position is based in Maple Grove, Minnesota, and operates under a hybrid model requiring at least four days per week in the office.
What you'll do#
- Manage the integrity of Process Plans, including material selection and task sequencing.
- Design, build, and test prototype devices based on clinical feedback.
- Run process characterization experiments and validation to find optimal manufacturing settings.
- Explore and recommend new technologies for medical device production.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to refine and establish manufacturing workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor or graduate degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
- Graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Ability to commit to a full 12-week internship during one of two windows: May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027, or May 24, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
- Reliable transportation to the Maple Grove facility.
- Effective communication skills and a desire to learn new technologies.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
