About the role#
Music Assistants provide logistical, administrative, and technical support to keep the music department running. You will work closely with faculty to handle the details necessary for successful ensembles, recruitment efforts, and events. This role involves mentorship and discipleship, requiring a commitment to the mission and vision of the university.
What you'll do#
- Serve as a choral music librarian or athletic band equipment manager.
- Act as an atrium concert coordinator, musical theatre assistant, or recruitment assistant.
- Manage social media accounts and organize music files.
- Assist ensemble directors with setup and tear-down for rehearsals and events.
- Coordinate logistics and technical details for staging and performances.
- Lift heavy objects and perform manual labor for event setups.
- Provide person-to-person mentorship and discipleship to students and staff.
What you'll need#
- Maintain current music scholarship requirements regarding enrollment, grades, and work ethic.
- Hold an active Christian faith and the ability to pray with and for others.
- Support students and staff from a biblical worldview.
- Align with the Christian mission and core commitments of the university.
- Sign the University Statement of Faith and Core Commitments on an annual basis.

- This role is based in Glendale, Arizona.
- The position is on-site and part-time.
- Work is paid and follows a rolling schedule.
