About the role#
Academic teaching assistants help professors with grading and administrative tasks. You will provide subject-specific support to students through one-on-one or group sessions. This role involves maintaining student confidentiality and following FERPA policies. You will work within Canvas, Populi, and other academic platforms to support the course experience.
What you'll do#
- Attend class meetings as requested by your professor.
- Provide subject expertise and support to students.
- Assist with grading and administrative duties.
- Adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
- Communicate regularly with your professor.
- Input your work hours into Paycom.
- Pray with and for others as part of your support role.
- Encourage students from a biblical worldview.
- Maintain professional integrity in all tasks.
What you'll need#
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to the ACU Statement of Faith and core values.
- Current enrollment as an ACU student in good standing.
- An A grade in the course you are assisting with.
- Demonstrated financial need and a completed FAFSA.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Availability to work up to ten hours per week.

- Work is on-site.
- This is a paid, part-time, non-exempt role.
- Hiring is on a rolling basis.
