About the role#
This 8-week summer internship program provides hands-on experience within the insurance industry. You will work with the Data and Analytics team to support business priorities. This role is a full-time, paid position based in Farmington, Connecticut.
What you'll do#
- Design ETL processes, build data pipelines, and implement validation controls.
- Integrate data from databases, APIs, and third-party applications into the segment data warehouse.
- Apply validation, profiling, and cleansing techniques to support data quality.
- Create Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize business operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with data sources, storage, and pipelines.
- Explore AI-enabled tools to automate tasks and improve productivity.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- You are a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior with a graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.
- You possess a basic understanding of ETL concepts, business intelligence, data warehousing, and integration patterns.
- Proficiency or strong coursework experience in SQL is required.
- Familiarity with Python, Spark, Snowflake, Databricks, or CI/CD concepts is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Farmington, CT.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 2, 2027, to July 23, 2027).
- Work Modality: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote).
- Compensation: $26 to $28 per hour.
