About the role#
This summer internship offers hands-on experience within the insurance industry. You will work alongside the Corporate Tax team to gain professional skills and explore career paths. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation and review of U.S. federal, state, and local income tax returns, including estimated tax calculations and extensions.
- Support the quarterly and annual income tax provision process by gathering, organizing, and analyzing financial and tax data.
- Conduct research on federal and state tax issues and summarize findings for the team.
- Participate in special projects related to tax planning, process improvements, technology initiatives, and regulatory developments.
- Collaborate with the Finance, Legal, Treasury, and Investment teams on various assignments.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
- You possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and automation tools, such as Excel and Copilot, is preferred.
- Completion of coursework in Tax, Accounting, and Finance prior to the start date is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based in White Plains, New York.
- The internship follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 2 days onsite and 2 days from home.
- The program runs from June 2, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
- The hourly rate for this position is $26.
