About the role#
As a Risk Summer Analyst, you will join our Risk Management team to gain practical experience in monitoring and managing market and liquidity risks. You will work alongside experienced risk managers to conduct quantitative investigations and develop methodologies for risk management. This 10-week summer program provides exposure to the firm's investment strategies and direct involvement in our daily risk processes.
What you'll do#
- Partner with a seasoned risk manager to complete a series of varied analytics.
- Monitor investment and market risk measures across multiple portfolios and asset classes.
- Develop new risk management methodologies and improve existing ones based on your research.
- Support daily risk operations, including limits monitoring and escalation procedures.
- Contribute to new projects, client development initiatives, and ad-hoc activities.
What you'll need#
- You are a student graduating in December 2027 or Spring 2028 with a degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Economics.
- You have a strong interest in financial markets and risk management.
- You are familiar with financial instruments and risk metrics such as duration, beta, volatility, and option Greeks.
- You have prior experience using a high-level programming language like Python, Matlab, or C++ as a research tool.
- You are detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
- You possess a high degree of ethics and are committed to intellectual integrity.
- You are a thoughtful, collaborative team player who looks beyond the surface to understand underlying details.
