About the role#
The Portfolio Implementation Summer Analyst role offers exposure to global financial markets, quantitative investing, and portfolio management. You will work alongside senior investment professionals to understand the construction and management of systematic portfolios. The 10-week program includes the Quanta Academy Summer Term, a structured curriculum with over 40 hours of educational and networking events.
What you'll do#
- Optimize portfolios by accounting for model views, market frictions, and investment guidelines.
- Research and improve techniques used for portfolio construction and optimization.
- Implement and refine new and existing systematic signals.
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns in portfolio performance and characteristics.
What you'll need#
- You are a student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- Graduation date must be December 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or R, and SQL.
- Strong quantitative skills in Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Statistics.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, pay attention to detail, and collaborate effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to intellectual integrity.
