About the role#
As a Research and Portfolio Management Engineering Summer Analyst, you will bridge the gap between quantitative theory and technical execution. You will work alongside researchers to build and refine systematic investment strategies. This role involves maintaining a sophisticated infrastructure and managing complex production processes that handle large volumes of data.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with researchers to implement and test new investment ideas.
- Develop and extend core systems, including data ingestion engines and portfolio rebalancing platforms.
- Build backtesting tools and historical simulation software.
- Maintain scalable storage and computing infrastructure on AWS.
- Orchestrate workflows and ensure the reliability of production processes.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Proficiency in Python and Java.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Familiarity with large-scale application design, microservices, distributed computing, containers, and cloud environments.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to rigorous testing.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- A mature, thoughtful approach to problem-solving and a desire to learn.
- Previous experience or understanding of finance is a plus.
