About the role#
This summer internship offers the chance to work within the Quantitative Research team. You will collaborate with researchers and portfolio managers to identify reliable trading strategies in prediction markets. The role focuses on event contracts spanning sports, politics, economics, finance, culture, and crypto. You will gain hands-on experience in quantitative asset management and participate in the AQR Quanta Academy Summer Term curriculum.
What you'll do#
- Acquire and clean data sets.
- Build and refine quantitative models.
- Analyze backtested trading strategies.
- Transform research findings into actionable trading strategies.
- Study financial markets and academic theory.
- Enhance portfolio construction techniques.
What you'll need#
- You are a degree candidate graduating in December 2027 or Spring 2028 (Ph.D., Masters, or Bachelors).
- Your degree is from a top program in finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, statistics, or operations management.
- You have heavy knowledge and experience in AI.
- You possess strong programming skills, with a preference for Python.
- You are familiar with prediction markets, data science, and option or contingent claim pricing.
- You have a demonstrated passion for sports, politics, or finance analytics.
- You have strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity.
- You are well-organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
- You can work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
- You communicate clearly in verbal and written formats.
