About the role#
As a Research Summer Analyst at AQR, you will spend 10 weeks working on projects that support our systematic investment strategies. You will work alongside our researchers and portfolio managers to gain hands-on experience in quantitative asset management. The program includes the Quanta Academy Summer Term, a curriculum featuring over 40 hours of educational workshops and networking events.
What you'll do#
- Study financial markets and academic theory.
- Analyze market data to identify trends.
- Build new trading strategies or improve existing ones.
- Enhance portfolio construction processes.
- Develop proprietary quantitative investment strategies.
- Perform statistical and economic research on financial data.
- Work with portfolio managers to implement investment strategies.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree and will graduate in December 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Your major is in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- You have programming skills, with a preference for Python.
- You possess strong problem-solving and quantitative abilities.
- You are detail-oriented, organized, and results-focused.
- You communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
- You have a strong sense of intellectual curiosity.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Greenwich, Connecticut.
- The term for this position is Summer 2027.
