Your Role As a Portfolio Finance Intern, you'll work on projects that directly support the firm's financing, clearing, and cash management activities across global markets. Financing Specialists are responsible for optimizing the financing and clearing arrangements of the firm across the various asset classes traded by AQR. They manage cash and cash-equivalent instruments across portfolios, monitor funding and liquidity conditions, and help maintain AQR's critical relationships with some of the largest financial institutions on Wall Street. Through hands-on projects and collaboration with experienced team members, you'll gain exposure to the financing strategies and operational processes that support AQR's systematic investment platform while developing a deeper understanding of how AQR utilizes the financial resources of our counterparties. You'll have opportunities to: Work with large datasets across a range of asset classes and investment strategies to monitor and optimize AQR’s large financing and clearing footprint Develop a working knowledge of the capabilities major financial institutions employ to support the different needs of investment management firms. Gain exposure to the investment and management of cash and cash-equivalent instruments across global portfolios under internal and external constraints.
