About the role#
As a Portfolio Finance Summer Analyst, you will join a 10-week program designed to provide hands-on experience with the firm's financing, clearing, and cash management activities. You will work alongside specialists, traders, and researchers to support our systematic investment platform. The role includes participation in the AQR Quanta Academy, a structured curriculum featuring over 40 hours of workshops and educational events.
What you'll do#
- Support the firm's financing, clearing, and cash management activities across global markets.
- Analyze large datasets across various asset classes to monitor and optimize our financing footprint.
- Gain exposure to the management of cash and cash-equivalent instruments within global portfolios.
- Develop a working knowledge of the capabilities used by major financial institutions.
- Collaborate with financing specialists, traders, portfolio managers, researchers, and technologists on projects.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- Graduation date in December 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills.
- Technical aptitude, with knowledge of Python, SQL, or MS Excel considered a plus.
- Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to intellectual integrity.
