About the role#
The Portfolio Solutions Group (PSG) focuses on providing research, whitepapers, and customized analyses for clients regarding strategic asset allocation, risk, and investment selection. As a Summer Analyst, you will support senior team members in these efforts while gaining exposure to various investment strategies and asset classes. This is a 10-week internship that includes the Quanta Academy Summer Term, a structured program featuring educational workshops, skill-building sessions, and networking events.
What you'll do#
- Develop and deliver customized analyses on a wide range of investing topics.
- Support senior team members in creating whitepapers and client presentations.
- Build and maintain analytical tools used by the team.
- Perform empirical analyses and model multi-asset custom portfolios.
- Create and maintain high-quality, up-to-date presentation materials.
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, research, and portfolio management, on various projects.
- Develop a strong understanding of AQR products and specific asset classes.
What you'll need#
- Current student graduating in December 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Academic background in Economics, Finance, Business, or a Science, Quantitative, or Engineering program.
- Programming knowledge, with a focus on Python.
- High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective oral and written communication abilities.
- A detail-oriented approach and strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of finance and the investment management industry is highly desirable.
- A hard-working nature and an eagerness to learn in a collaborative environment.
