About the role#
The APR Internship Program offers hands-on experience through project work, mentorship, and cross-functional exposure. You will contribute to departmental initiatives while building professional skills and industry knowledge. This program prepares students for future career opportunities by providing a view into our operations, leadership, and company culture.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate in small teams to solve business challenges, culminating in a presentation to APR leadership at a Capstone Event.
- Support daily operations, departmental projects, and initiatives within your assigned area.
- Conduct research, data analysis, reporting, and documentation to support business decisions.
- Identify and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency or quality.
- Build a professional network by connecting with teammates, mentors, and other interns.
- Observe how various functions, such as sales, supply chain, finance, and marketing, contribute to the organization.
- Develop technical skills in business systems, reporting tools, and project management.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and ethical standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Business, Management, or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of college coursework is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Initiative and a willingness to take ownership of assignments.
- Interest in learning about wholesale distribution and business operations.
