About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Statutory Reporting team at American National. You will contribute to financial reporting, accounting, and analysis projects during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position based in League City, Texas, running from May 24th through August 6th.
What you'll do#
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations.
- Validate financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with statutory reporting processes.
- Help document accounting policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university with a major in Accounting or a related field.
- Junior standing or higher by the start of the internship.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Completion of relevant accounting coursework.

- Location: League City, Texas (On-site).
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
- Term: Summer 2027.
