About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain corporate experience within the actuarial department. You will work on real projects, build professional connections, and contribute to the retail annuities business. The program runs for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Gain exposure to actuarial models and tools.
- Support actuarial analysis of the retail annuities business.
- Utilize technical skills including Excel, Python, SQL, and AXIS.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university with junior standing or higher by the start of the internship.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Progress toward or completion of a bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as mathematics or statistics.
- Passing of at least one SOA exam.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship working 37.5 hours per week.
- The role is based on-site in either Houston, Texas, or League City, Texas.
- Sponsorship is not available for this position.
