About the role#
As a student worker on the Autonomy Systems team, you will contribute to the development of safe and reliable autonomous driving software. You will work directly with engineers to design test plans, execute simulation scenarios, and analyze results to identify potential issues in self-driving behavior. This role involves participating in in-vehicle testing missions and refining triage pipelines to ensure the platform remains stable as new features are introduced.
What you'll do#
- Create test strategies and plans for self-driving behavior features.
- Identify, track, report, and resolve issues related to test strategy and implementation.
- Propose, prototype, and validate new testing methodologies for driving software using automated metrics.
- Design, develop, and execute synthetic and log-based test scenarios using an in-house simulation framework.
- Compile triage strategies and results across various QA validation platforms and pipelines.
- Lead cross-functional QA participation in testing initiatives and enablement projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in designing and implementing scalable software system test strategies.
- Proficiency with automated test frameworks and test automation.
- Experience with JIRA, GIT, the Linux command line, and Python or other scripting languages.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to commit to a minimum 6-month assignment at 40 hours per week.

- Compensation: $30 per hour.
