About the role#
The Gas & Electric Design Contracting team is seeking an intern for Summer 2027. You will support data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives across our design organization. This role offers exposure to utility operations, engineering design, and business analytics while providing hands-on experience with projects that support our business goals.
What you'll do#
- Analyze operational and project data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics using Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through process mapping, documentation, and workflow analysis.
- Create presentations and recommendations for leadership based on data findings and business insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations.
What you'll need#
- Current student at an ABET accredited college or university, Junior standing or higher.
- Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Industrial, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Coursework or experience in data analytics, statistics, process improvement, or business intelligence.
