About the role#
This is a paid internship supporting the Electric Distribution Area Engineering Team. You will assist the team in maintaining the reliability of the electric distribution system. This position offers the chance to solve practical problems and see how those solutions affect the community. The role begins on May 31, 2027, with the possibility of an extension based on performance and business needs.
What you'll do#
- Assist with outage investigations and root cause analysis.
- Support the creation of technical reports.
- Learn how electricity is delivered to customers.
- Help with protection and coordination studies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or higher at an ABET accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Ability to work full-time during the summer and part-time during the school year.
- Ability to commute in-person to the designated work location.
