About the role#
Royal Electric Company is hiring interns for our Sacramento office for the Summer 2027 term. This position works with our Preconstruction Management team to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry. You will participate in department meetings, research vendors, and visit job sites as needed.
What you'll do#
- Review RFPs to identify key content.
- Help develop project schedules.
- Perform takeoffs.
- Reach out to vendors and subcontractors through email and phone calls.
- Document job site conditions through photography.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Project.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to comply with all safety standards, wear required PPE, and perform physical tasks like lifting up to 15 pounds.

- Compensation: Paid position ($22-$27 per hour).
