About the role#
As a Construction Intern at Lingo Construction Services, you will gain experience by working in both office and jobsite environments. This role provides a well-rounded look at construction management, project coordination, and field operations. You will work with project managers, superintendents, and field engineers to understand the construction process from planning through completion.
What you'll do#
- Assist the estimating team with project takeoffs, estimates, and bidding.
- Support project managers in coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Help track project progress, update schedules, and prepare reports.
- Participate in project meetings to offer input on planning and budgeting.
- Monitor site logistics, safety protocols, and construction techniques alongside field crews.
- Conduct site inspections, document project progress, and ensure compliance with safety and building regulations.
- Manage plan reading, submittal tracking, and procurement tracking.
- Assist with materials management to support project execution.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A basic understanding of construction principles and terminology.
- Ability to work effectively in both an office setting and on active construction sites.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A proactive approach to learning and taking initiative within a team.
