About the role#
Royal Electric Company is hiring an IT Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This on-site position in Sacramento offers hands-on experience supporting our IT team with daily operations and field projects.
What you'll do#
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding process for employees.
- Track and maintain the laptop life cycle.
- Set up and break down workstations.
- Troubleshoot basic computer issues and review help desk tickets.
- Assist with IT installs at active jobsites.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment while working in the field.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of and interest in computer systems.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as kneeling, crouching, reaching, and walking throughout the day.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changes in a work environment.

- Compensation: $22 to $27 per hour.
