About the role#
Kodiak is looking for an Electrical Engineering intern to join our team for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Mountain View, California. We provide visa sponsorship for eligible candidates.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the design, development, and testing of AV power system equipment, including hardware selection, PCB design, and system integration.
- Generate electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, models, and simulations.
- Gather, process, and analyze large datasets to inform engineering decisions.
- Execute and complete small-scale scopes of work while meeting quality and schedule requirements.
- Create technical presentations to share your work with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and other departments.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of electrical circuits, power systems, and control systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Experience with Altium or Cadence is preferred.
- Familiarity with I2C, SPI, CANbus, or battery systems is a plus.

- Term: Winter 2027 (12-16 weeks starting January 2027).
- Modality: This is an on-site role.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship with a monthly salary range of $8,000 to $9,000.
