About the role#
As an intern on the Mission Planning team, you will build core mission, routing, and fault management algorithms for our autonomous trucks. You will work directly with our production-level codebase and focus on modern C++ to help advance our autonomous trucking platform. This role provides the opportunity to deploy code on trucks operating in real-world scenarios while receiving mentorship from our robotics engineers.
What you'll do#
- Develop core mission, routing, and fault management algorithms.
- Apply commands from human operations specialists to our fleet of self-driving trucks.
- Improve routing through construction zones.
- Implement safety-critical fault management policies.
- Design and implement solutions to complex robotics problems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Junior, Senior, or graduate student status at an accredited university.
- Strong C++ programming skills.
- Proficiency in kinematics, linear algebra, and calculus.
- Ability to solve basic graph search problems.
