About the role#
Kodiak is looking for a Security Intern to join our team in Mountain View. You will own a project that helps advance our autonomous trucking platform. This is a full-time, paid internship for Winter 2027. You will work on-site and collaborate with our engineering team on a daily basis.
What you'll do#
- Take ownership of a project to advance our autonomous trucking technology.
- Develop your coding skills by working directly within a production-level codebase.
- Collaborate with engineers across the team to solve complex problems.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in Master's or Ph.D. studies in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Comfort reading and writing modern C++ code.
- Understanding of security or cryptography fundamentals, including TLS, RSA, and AES algorithms.
- Experience with Linux, Ubuntu, or Debian.
- Familiarity with revision tracking systems like git.
- Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP, UDP, and PTP.
- Experience with real-time, resource-constrained, or embedded software.
- Understanding of mathematics, including linear algebra and calculus.
- Exposure to AWS or GCP cloud computing infrastructures.
- Interest in or experience with Red Team activities, physical AI, IoT systems, or robotics.

- Term: Winter 2027 (12-16 weeks).
