About the role#
Kodiak is looking for a Simulation Intern to help solve real-world robotics problems. You will join our team to advance our autonomous trucking platform. This role involves working on autonomous trucks that operate in the real world. You will work alongside other engineers on a daily basis.
What you'll do#
- Solve complex robotics problems.
- Collaborate with engineers on day-to-day tasks.
- Advance our autonomous trucking platform.
- Write and improve code within a production-level self-driving codebase.
- Work on autonomous trucks deployed in real-world environments.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited university.
- Experience working with C++ codebases.
- Knowledge of robotics fundamentals.
- Experience with high-fidelity simulation frameworks.
- Motivation to solve challenging problems that lack clear-cut solutions.

- Location: Mountain View, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January start).
- Duration: 12 to 16 weeks.
- Modality: On-site.
- Employment: Full-time and paid position.
