About the role#
The Construction Intern supports our projects by working alongside project managers, superintendents, and field teams. You will gain hands-on experience with construction processes, project coordination, safety practices, and administrative tasks. This role is designed to provide practical exposure to the industry while you develop foundational knowledge of construction operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers, superintendents, and field personnel with daily construction activities.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination.
- Participate in jobsite walkthroughs and site inspections.
- Help manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project records.
- Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost tracking, and estimating activities.
- Monitor construction progress and assist with reporting updates.
- Review construction drawings and project documentation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project team members.
- Observe and promote compliance with safety policies and OSHA standards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, Building Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in both office and field environments.
- Ability to visit active construction sites, navigate uneven terrain, and wear required personal protective equipment.
