    About the role#

    Raytheon is seeking an RF Design Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will join the Effector RF Design Department to support various programs. This role involves detailed design, simulation, product development, and testing for radar and datalink applications on tactical missile programs. You will work within a team, receive mentorship, and have the opportunity to shadow experienced professionals.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the design and development of transmitters, receivers, and exciters.
    • Design and optimize RF circuits, including component chains or individual parts like filters, limiters, and couplers.
    • Perform component characterization, module verification, and integration in a lab setting.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including power, digital, and mechanical groups.
    • Execute schematic capture and detailed design tasks.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Advanced degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM major.
    • Completion of at least 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
    • Coursework or experience in programming or simulation using MATLAB, SIMULINK, C/C++, or equivalent.
    • Knowledge of communication theory, digital signal processing, probability theory, stochastic signal processing, or RF/electromagnetic theory.
    • An active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance.

    • This is a full-time, on-site internship located in Tucson, Arizona.
    • The position is paid.
