About the role#
This Engineering Intern position offers hands-on experience with active energy generation projects. You will support the development of wind, solar, battery storage, and combustion turbine facilities. Working alongside project managers, coordinators, and contractors, you will gain insight into the full lifecycle of utility-scale infrastructure. This role involves a mix of office work and field visits to active construction sites.
What you'll do#
- Support project teams with tracking, reporting, and documentation.
- Visit construction sites to observe project execution and safety practices.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors.
- Learn the development and construction processes for various energy facilities.
- Complete assigned tasks under supervision while following safety procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or higher as of Fall 2027.
- Degree pursuit in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field at an ABET accredited institution.
- Ability to work full-time (up to 40 hours) during the summer and part-time (up to 20 hours) during the school year.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- An interest in renewable energy, power generation, and large-scale infrastructure.
