About the role#
This summer internship focuses on residential energy product strategy. You will join a team of experts to support residential product initiatives. You will take ownership of one to three key projects within the focus areas of trade strategy, research coordination, or program satisfaction. This role provides insight into how Xcel Energy aligns customer energy needs with environmental goals and company objectives.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate and support trade strategy projects.
- Research and compile third-party resources.
- Manage project coordination for Program Satisfaction (PSAT) initiatives.
- Deliver results for assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or higher at an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Construction Science, Environmental Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through school, work, or community involvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Location & details#
- Locations: Minneapolis, Minnesota or Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment: Full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours per week) with potential for part-time work during the school year (up to 20 hours per week).
- Compensation: Paid position starting at $20.90 to $22.10 per hour.
- Benefits: Includes 401(k) plan, pension, paid time off, and holidays.
