About the role#
As a Data Science Intern, you will work with large datasets to uncover insights that shape our business strategies. You will apply statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and visualization techniques to solve complex problems. This position offers a chance to build predictive models, automate data collection, and ensure data integrity while working alongside experienced team members.
What you'll do#
- Analyze large datasets to extract valuable business insights.
- Develop and refine predictive models.
- Use SQL and Python for data analysis and machine learning tasks.
- Create data visualizations using tools like Posit or Power BI.
- Automate data collection processes and maintain data quality.
- Translate business goals into technical requirements.
- Present findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders and business users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Senior or higher in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related analytical field.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
- Experience with data visualization tools.
- Understanding of concepts related to managing large datasets.
- Ability to work full-time (up to 40 hours per week) during the summer and part-time (up to 20 hours per week) during the school year.
- Ability to commute to the work location for hybrid requirements.
- Preferred: Experience with Databricks and application development skills.

- Compensation: $22.10 to $27.90 per hour.
