About the role#
This internship focuses on artificial intelligence, full stack software development, and data analytics within the nuclear energy sector. You will work with the Installed Base Business Unit to improve operational efficiency and develop technical solutions. This is a paid, full-time position that requires on-site work in Lynchburg, Virginia.
What you'll do#
- Assist with AI project execution, including data collection, preprocessing, and model development.
- Develop and implement algorithms to solve complex problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new opportunities for AI applications.
- Conduct research on current AI technologies and trends.
- Participate in innovation workshops and brainstorming sessions.
- Prepare and present project updates and findings to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS (Junior/Senior), MS, or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Proficiency in Python, C/C++.NET, and JavaScript.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience with web development tools such as ReactJS and Flask.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning models and full-stack applications.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools including Pandas, Jupyter Notebooks, and MATLAB.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
