About the role#
Framatome is hiring a Welding Engineering Intern for a full-time, on-site position in Lynchburg, Virginia. This is a paid, rolling internship opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Welding Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Support the design and development of engineering solutions.
- Conduct analysis and evaluations of systems and components.
- Assist in testing procedures and interpret results.
- Prepare technical specifications and documentation.
- Adapt and modify standard methods to address new tasks.
- Select appropriate tools and criteria to solve technical problems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS (Junior/Senior), MS, or PhD in Welding Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication skills.
- Ability to meet U.S. export control eligibility requirements.

- Location: Lynchburg, Virginia.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Compensation: $24.70 to $32.30 per hour, plus potential performance bonuses.
