About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Montréal. You will join the Retirement consulting team to help global organizations design, manage, and communicate their retirement plans. This role offers exposure to real client assignments where you will analyze data, draw conclusions, and support consultants on various projects. You will also have access to an exam study program, including paid study hours and coaching to help you work toward an actuarial designation.
What you'll do#
- Partner with consultants to provide actuarial support on project design, funding, and pricing.
- Perform asset and liability modelling for a variety of clients.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking analysis of benefit plan designs.
- Complete annual pension and post-retirement medical valuations.
- Assist with plan reporting and filing requirements.
- Handle plan administrative tasks like benefit calculations and reviewing plan documents.
- Collaborate with associates across the local practice.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related quantitative field with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Previous completion of a WTW Summer 2026 internship.
- Proficiency in both French and English to serve clients and stakeholders in both languages.
- Completion of one or more actuarial exams is highly preferred.
- Prior work experience demonstrating technical or client service skills.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter while contributing to a team.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
