About the role#
We are looking for a software engineering intern focused on rapid prototyping to accelerate our product development. Your mission is to turn ideas into working demos quickly, allowing our product teams to test, validate, and iterate on new features before committing to full-scale development. This is not a traditional software development role. Your goal is to test assumptions and generate insights that influence product strategy and investment decisions. You will directly influence which solutions move forward.
What you'll do#
- Develop quick, functional prototypes to validate new product features.
- Translate product ideas into working software, including scripts, tools, and mini-applications.
- Build new solutions from scratch or extend existing codebases to enable validation.
- Collaborate with product line managers, researchers, and developers to refine concepts.
- Build lightweight solutions using simple web apps and data tools.
- Iterate rapidly based on feedback from stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Strong programming skills.
- Experience building small applications end-to-end.
- Familiarity with APIs, data handling, and basic UI tools.
- Ability to quickly understand and extend unfamiliar systems.
- Comfort navigating and modifying existing codebases.
- Ability to work effectively in an ambiguous environment.
