About the role#
WSP is seeking an Electrical Engineering (Transmission) Intern to join our Power and Energy team in Tulsa for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship where you will work alongside senior staff on real projects. You will participate in a 12-week program that begins on May 17, 2027, though individual start dates may be flexible.
What you'll do#
- Support various engineering tasks to build your technical and professional skills.
- Learn core principles of Electrical Engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Help prepare final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete assigned training modules.
- Apply ethical decision-making and follow company conduct policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Undergraduate program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- An anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to follow direction from managers and mentors.
- Basic proficiency in technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to health and harassment policies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Enrollment in a Masters or PhD program and prior internship or campus leadership experience are preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
- No relocation or housing assistance is provided for this position.
