About the role#
This is a full-time internship within the Power and Energy team for Summer 2027. You will work alongside senior staff to gain hands-on experience in overhead transmission line projects. This 12-week program begins on May 17, 2027, though individual start dates may be flexible.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
- Support the preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete training on assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate program for Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- An anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.

- This position is based on-site in Houston, Texas, or Austin, Texas.
- This is a paid internship.
