About the role#
Arcadis is looking for an intern to join our electrical engineering team. You will design electrical systems for water, wastewater, and industrial facilities. You will work with our team to provide consulting services focused on power distribution, motor controls, lighting, and grounding design for the West Region of our Resilience Water Business Line.
What you'll do#
- Work on the electrical design and coordination of various projects.
- Perform design calculations and develop one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, and specifications.
- Review manufacturer information to ensure it meets project specifications.
- Provide engineering support during construction by reviewing equipment submittals and shop drawings.
- Respond to contractor requests for information.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A basic understanding of AutoCAD or REVIT.
- Basic knowledge of power distribution and motor control concepts.
- Active participation in regional or national professional associations.

- This position is located in our Dallas, Texas office.
- This is an on-site, part-time role.
- The internship follows a rolling schedule.
