Water Engineer Co-op/Intern

About the role#

Arcadis is seeking a Water Engineer Co-op/Intern to join the Water Business Line in Columbus, Ohio. This position is available for the Fall 2026, Winter 2027, or Summer 2027 terms. You will support projects focused on protecting natural environments and water resources, including work on treatment facilities, pipelines, and pumping stations.

What you'll do#

• Evaluate, plan, and design projects for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure.
• Conduct site visits, perform water quality sampling, and troubleshoot system processes.
• Perform data analytics, condition assessments, and performance evaluations of water facilities.
• Support the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and client meetings.
• Utilize digital tools such as BIM, Power BI, and SharePoint to enhance project delivery and team collaboration.
• Ensure project compliance with quality, health, and safety standards.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Prior internship experience or relevant coursework in water/wastewater or water resources.
• Possession of, or a strong desire to obtain, EIT certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
