About the role#
As a Water Engineer Co-op or Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by working on diverse water engineering projects. You will contribute to the evaluation, planning, and design of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure. This role involves working both independently and with broader teams to support municipalities and utility clients.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design of treatment facilities, pumping stations, and water or sewer mains.
- Perform data analytics and conduct condition assessments of various water facilities.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for internal use and client meetings.
- Participate in site visits to conduct sampling, troubleshoot processes, and gather operational data.
- Use digital tools such as SharePoint, BIM, and Power BI to support project delivery.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Previous internship experience or relevant coursework in water, wastewater, or water resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- An EIT certification or a strong desire to obtain one.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
