About the role#
Arcadis is hiring an Industrial Water/Wastewater Intern to join our Resilience Environment team. You will work on projects for industrial clients, including front-end treatment concept development, system design, water conservation, and pollution prevention. This role provides an entry point for future growth in project management, technical direction, and client development.
What you'll do#
- Assist with water and wastewater treatment process design and solution development.
- Perform process, mechanical, and hydraulic calculations for pumps, tanks, and equipment.
- Develop engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Evaluate treatment alternatives through feasibility studies and data analysis.
- Compile, analyze, and perform quality control on technical and operational data.
- Prepare technical reports, permit applications, memos, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with project teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field staff.
- Conduct site visits, facility assessments, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
- Support pilot testing, bench-scale testing, and water quality evaluations.
- Ensure projects meet safety, quality, budget, and schedule requirements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, part-time internship with a rolling term.
- Work modality is hybrid.
- Locations include Raleigh, NC; Indianapolis, IN; Novi, MI; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Philadelphia, PA; and Atlanta, GA.
