About the role#
WSP is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 program. This role is based in our Hamilton, New Jersey office. You will work alongside senior staff on real projects to build your technical and professional skills. The program lasts 12 weeks and is scheduled to begin on May 17, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support a variety of engineering tasks.
- Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
- Support the preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Help collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete training on assigned tasks.
- Adhere to the WSP Code of Conduct and exercise responsible decision-making regarding company resources.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Undergraduate Electrical Engineering or related program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- Demonstrated interest in Electrical Engineering and a desire to advance your skills.
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to take direction from leadership, mentors, and managers.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- A proven track record of upholding workplace safety and the ability to abide by company health, safety, and harassment policies.
- Prior internship or campus leadership experience is preferred.
