About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Oradell, New Jersey. The program runs for 12 weeks, starting May 17, 2027. You will work alongside senior staff on power and energy projects, gaining hands-on experience in structural and civil engineering tasks.
What you'll do#
- Apply structural engineering principles to design foundations and structures for substation equipment.
- Assist with field work, project research, and design analysis.
- Prepare design plans, cost estimates, and special provisions.
- Maintain project documentation and complete assigned training modules.
- Follow company policies, including the Code of Conduct and safety protocols.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate, master's, or PhD program for Civil, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
- Graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Proficiency with office software, spreadsheets, and technical writing.
- Ability to follow direction from managers and mentors.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Prior completion of junior-level coursework in structural analysis, steel design, or concrete design is preferred.
- Previous internship or campus leadership experience is a plus.

- Compensation: $24.76 - $32.22 per hour.
