About the role#
The Supervisory Practices & Analytics Co-Op joins the Investment Platform Supervisory Practices team to support the firm's first-line supervisory framework. You will gain exposure to investment processes, governance, and risk management while working with colleagues across the Investment Platform, Legal & Compliance, and Enterprise Risk Management. This role involves data analysis, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement to help identify emerging risks and provide leadership with insights into business and regulatory requirements.
What you'll do#
- Support supervisory, monitoring, and risk-management initiatives across the Investment Platform.
- Lead monthly supervisory review process meetings involving investment activity, including facilitating discussions with senior leadership.
- Assist with the Investment Platform Morning Meeting process and documentation of supervisory procedures.
- Develop and enhance supervisory dashboards, reporting, and analytical tools.
- Analyze data to support group and regional supervisory meetings and management discussions.
- Conduct conflicts-of-interest monitoring and support the Investment Platform model risk framework.
- Review supervisory processes and controls to identify opportunities for consistency, automation, and scalability.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on risk and supervisory initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Must be a currently enrolled Northeastern University student with prior co-op experience.
- Strong academic record with coursework in finance, economics, business, risk management, data analytics, or information systems.
- Analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis or visualization tools.
- Experience with Python, SQL, or Power BI is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Genuine interest in investment management, governance, and financial regulation.
